HTC Will Secure Your Bitcoins With Its New ‘blockchain phone’

The things are not going well for HTC nowadays, in other words for a couple of years, as it can’t produce the best smartphones on the planet and with Apple and Samsung dominance in the market. As a result, although we don’t have all the detailed specs about the upcoming product, except a single picture and rumors, we can say HTC is targeting a less competitive market to hit it’s ex-popularity again.

Will Be A Secure Cryptocurrency Wallet

Taiwanese tech company HTC has recently announced its upcoming blockchain supported smartphone, Exodus handset at Consensus 2018 blockchain conference in New York. As you remember, the company has announced its latest flagship, a few weeks before the conference which will be released today.

As stated on HTC Exodus’ landing page, [perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]“Our vision is to expand the blockchain ecosystem by creating the world’s first phone dedicated to decentralized applications and security. With the release of the HTC Exodus, we can now make this a reality.”[/perfectpullquote]

It’s Not Whole The Story

Besides supporting the main cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other altcoins in its totally isolated secure wallet, backed up by secure hardware and decentralized applications, HTC’S main plan here is, to create a native blockchain network to let it’s exodus owners trade crypto coins with each other. Moreover, it will be possible to buy the Exodus itself with traded cryptocurrencies but its price is not revealed yet.

Although I assume HTC has plans about this, it should also be clarified the consequences in case the device gets stolen. What will happen to cryptocurrencies already stored in the wallet? Will it have an option for remote recovery? If yes, isn’t it againist the nature of decentralization?
